First chartered in February 5, 1934, Local 451 encompasses 3 counties throughout the state of Delaware – New Castle, Kent, and Sussex, 2 counties in Pennsylvania (see description) – part of Delaware and Chester County, and 1 county in Maryland (see description) – Cecil County. We are more than 200-members strong who are well-trained and ready to work with and for our signatory contractors.
You’ll find our work at the heart of a building’s structure. Our members erect the structural framework of buildings and also are essential in other projects, such as erecting bridges, blast furnaces, ornamental ironwork and power plants. Our skill set includes welding, sheeting and rigging all of which are taught by certified instructors in our training facility.
Local 451 uses its special skill set to give back to the community, donating time and labor to projects throughout the region.
